Dear Masood Bahi it’s really great to know about your work. I have gone through your poetry book which Naeem Ashraf; your younger brother and my Military College entry mate gave me. Book was amazingly different from subject and thought point of view. Recently my book named Khush Bashian based on word sketches of writers/intellectuals of Urdu literature has published. I will try to send you a copy of that. And nice to see your picture with long hairs which one can’t afford in MCJ and it could result into a seven day Extra Drill (Rugra). Take care of yourself and the cats. Pay my regards to Bhabi .It was really nice to view your website.

I had you for two semesters at FSU and now that I am at another university in Miami, I am still unable to find another professor that compares to you. Your brilliance and personality has won me over! Remember when Sheila and me used to crack jokes on you before class about your long hair and stylish boots? By the way, I hope you quit smoking!!!

Dear Masood Bhai
Its been a long time, like 24 years that i last saw you. It was in MCJ, i was in the same badge as Naeem. We all the friends and Alamgirians have always admired your intelligence and thoughtful character even when you were in your teen age. Its a matter of great pride for me as an Alamgirian to know you and see your successful growth in life. Like Prof Saeed Rashid(Marhoom), always said the growth is of two type, Vertical & Horizontal. Its great to know you are growing in both directions, and hope you continue with the same self belief and character. Kind Regards.

Dear Masood,
It has been a pleasure getting to know you as a neighbor, and now a friend. With my guest, the French journalist Nestor Bidadanure,I have learned so much more of your intelligence, knowledge, wisdom and kindness. Thank you for joining us for dinner and extending the evening at Angel Falls for coffee and conversation. I will certainly get you involved with Akron International Friendship. You are a great asset to our community.

Dr.Raja,
I just wanted to say that you were one of my favorite professors at Kent. I so glad that finally in my life I was able to see a South Asian male unlike my father who is very artistic and is able to as I have said before demystify the myths about model minority status. Your class English Stuides was a medium of self discovery because of your knowledge of colonial and post colonial South Asia. So this bi-racial Asian Indian American was able to finally reconcil issues of east versus west as well as gender and disabilty issues. So I thank you for that. This web site is a tool that further makes me think of the east versus west issues and poltics that I have known since childhood as I am visting my father, working and awaiting my possible admission to graduate school.Again thank you for your understanding.

I've passed through here numerous times and will continue to do so as time goes by, especially if pictures of you and your cats are posted. Otherwise I'll just pass through only now and then...no, I'll pass through frequently. Me likey website for some intellectually stimulating topics of interest and just some thoughts of people with whom we might or might not know. Maybe one day MY stuff will get published too and I can reference this site!! YA. (or not)

Thanks for inviting me to your site. I really enjoyed your class last fall, I must say that you pushed me to do my best. I think that these are the best teachers, the ones who push you to acheive your highest potential. I think that you touched my life by making me a better writer and opened my eyes to the knowledge in your own head. I think you will touch so many students in your profesion as a professor, you are very intelligent. Hope you have a wonderful summer, and glad you were able to go back to visit your family this past winter.

Hi Dr. Raja!
I just got back from England and am getting ready to go back to Kent. I just read your blog on defending America and was deeply touched. I don't think I fully appreciated the goodness of the American people until I was out of my country. I am glad that others feel the same way. Thank you for the kind words about Americans and I hope to take one of your classes soon!
